Needs looking into ASAP specially if the majority of these comments are true poor animals xx

they have never looked after their ponies, 18 of them had to be signed over to Redwings sanctuary in Norfolk years back because she didn't look after them>

My daughter went through the job centre volunteering here, and lasted one day due to the disgusting state the animals were left in. I think it needs to be closed down completely and removed from her land and the animals sent elsewhere. This lady is taking cash in left right and centre so this facility should be immaculate and the animals in pristine condition.....sadly they are not!!!

Dam right disgusting the way animals are treated (not treated) stop this now before more damage is done to those that remain!

About time something was done!

She was horrible about why we had to give up our pet kitten which was found under our decking. She made our situation harder than it already was

Cruelty to animals needs to stop and these have been proven of this, supposed to be rescuing the animals but they seem to be worse off there

My poor dog had fleas and was in a right mess when I picked her up . She had just had an op the night before I had her and her stich had burst and she was a nerves wreck . I am still trying to help her with her nerves ! She also had colitis and when I rang to ask what food they had given her , they said what ever we have !

Absolutely disgusting! What I want to know is why are all these people who volunteered only talking about the appalling conditions and mistreatment now? Maybe if the people who had witnessed the neglect reported it then this petition wouldn't be needed! This should have been dealt with a long time ago. Poor animal suffering :(

Having visited Capricorn in the past I am surprised that nothing has been done sooner

I have had trouble with Sheila Stewart myself, she should have been removed a long time ago.

I volunteered here for over a year, and saw nothing but awful conditions, no matter how much myself or any of the other hard-working volunteers tried to help. Animals would be left in their "shelters" long after they had died. I would clean the water dishes of some animals, and return the next week to find they had not been cleaned or refilled, it was appalling. Kittens and pigeons were dumped in a pit behind the stairs. Some animals were ignored in favour of others. Birds that should NOT be kept with other species were kept in a small cabin together. Thankfully an aviary was eventually put up, but these birds were still neglected. Several times I would ask about adopting some of the animals, even offering to pay (if only to give them a good, clean home) but was told they were not up for adoption, without any explanation. There were several tropical parrots kept in a porch area, freezing to death (many times their water would be frozen in the winter, and their food bowls empty). Several of these poor creatures were in cages far too small for them. It's such a shame the state of the rescue has become, and the owners practically drove many of the volunteers away. I would love to go back and care for these animals again, but witnessing the horror that goes on there was too much. I hope things get sorted out.

We had our dog taken off us after we got her from here. My son payed for the dog but she sent her son to get her back. We have been frightening to get her back since last year. With no joy.

Heard and seen many shocking things about this company and the owner by many many people. Animals are not safe here

Over the years I have seen things go terribly wrong here at Capricorn. The sad truth is that Sheila is a poorly woman with very strong hoarding issues. Not only do the animals live in squaller, but so do they. Myself and 2 colleague's opened up our Grooming businesses to her 12 months ago, we fetched and groomed pretty much every dog there for her for free. Using our diesel, our facilities and time. All for free. It took over a week to get any sort of a thank you from them. And even then they had to be prompted to do so..and all we got was a lousy face book mention! We then found out that 2 of the dogs we groomed were actually HER dogs!!! The cheek of her! We were gutted when we returned all the dogs to their kennels, that hadn't even been cleaned out while they had been gone...covered in faeces, urine and muck! A disgrace. Some one needs to do something NOW!!

People need to see what Sheila is really like, took my partners dog for no reason what so ever, got her son and another large man to come and take the dog while I was at home with my little boy and intimidated me into giving them the dog back!!!!!
