About 2 years ago, me and my boyfriend visited this "rescue" to adopt cats/kittens. We were told a lot of the cats were sick so couldn't see them but if we left a deposit they would contact us when they were better! AS IF! We did have a look around and I honestly felt sick, so much dirt and muck everywhere! All the animals looked frustrated, thin and depressed! I left feeling quite upset and concerned for many of the animals so I'm extremely happy to see someone is finally getting the ball rolling and getting this place shut down!!

This needs looking into immediately, no animal should be living in these conditions

This place is an absolute disgrace. They make the animals under their "care" ill to the point where they have to be put down. This is animal abuse and this so called "rescue centre" needs to be shut down and the people who run it put behind bars.

Surely something needs to be done and soon for the animals, they shouldn't have to live like that.

Utterly abysmal place for ANY living thing to be in, let alone vulnerable, needy, medically reliant animals! Get this place SHUT!

So glad I found this petition and I'm singing with pleasure.
Here's my story.
In January 2016 I went to Capricorn with with elder son to look for a cat to adopt, we waited around 15 minutes before finally being greeted by Mrs Stewart who offered no apologies for the delay in time time. We were then directed to the cattery in which we were told to look around and were left to explore. The first thing we noticed was the over powering smell of cat urine and poo. We looked past this as it was clear that there was to many cats for this space and thought at least they're here and not left to look after themselves on the streets. This is until we looked around. Only 2 visable litter trays with no more than a handful of litter in each with litter tray full of poo. This is for what I would say around 30 cats if not more. The floor also covered by poo. There was food and water bowls. The bowls were empty. This time of day was suppose to be not long after the volunteers had left. Beyond all this we looked at many of the cats and we found a lovely tabby cat who had been sleeping most of the time only looking at us through that seemed to be sad eyes. Sometime later we asked if this cat was ok and was assured she was and that she wasn't adjusting to rescue life so with this we decided this would be the cat we would adopt and give herror a quiet life in a home where she would be out of the centre she wasn't adjusting to. We signed the adoption papers, payed the fee and left. We got our new pet home and left her to settle in. Jump forward after a few days after we had her, she still didn't seem to adjust so we took her to the vet just for a simple check up. What the vet found was shocking. Our poor Jackie had a broken leg and tail. Blood work was also taken and she had untreated lung worm and was FIV positive. Her organs such as liver and kidneys were also shutting down. We had no choice but to put her to rest. I phoned Capricorn the next day and spoke to Mrs Stewart and exp
