Absolutely awful what's happening to genuine people in need in this country. I hope you get this mess sorted. It's a sad situation when you can't get support for a sick child in your own Country.

Disgraceful. We have a 9 year old with CP refused Medical Card despite being a wheelchair user, non verbal etc etc. Stat should hang it's head in shame.

The child and her family clearly need help and a medical card. What do you have to do to qualify for medical card nowadays. I know plenty of family's with a medical card who don't have sickly children and one parent works

Disgraceful carry on. I had to write an open letter to Minister Varadkar last November when they took away my son's medical card. He has a life-long incurable heart defect and they still took it away. Within days of a sustained FB campaign, it was reinstated with a full apology.

Medical cards should not be taken off children who need long term medical treatment. It's a disgrace!
