As you guys might know it has been decided to take out dance from the IB curriculum starting next year. However there are still numerous people that enjoy dancing and don't want to see it leave. I am taking dance this semester and I really enjoy it. We learn skills such as teamwork, responsibility, time management, and more through the projects. We also learn about the different impacts the world situation had on the clothing, music, and dance. Dance has been a part of the Randolph IB curriculum since the very beginning. Also according to Sabine Howe a Physical Education Specialist "movement combinations increase memory, order, and sequencing skills. Creating dances also increases self-esteem which is so very important to learning."
