I want to say two things about this petition....
Firstly - his name is Ashya - not Aysha. At least get that right for goodness sake and gain some credibilty!!!!
Secondly, it appears to me that most people's comments are signing to say that the decision to arrest the parents was wrong and that they should be released - NOT necessarily supporting the actual wording of this petition, which is demanding that the NHS should provide the specialist treatment that has so far been denied.
There is a much, much larger petition calling for the parent's release, that currently has over 100,000 signature, so is much more likely to elicit the required response. This can be found on change.org/p/police-reunite-ashya-with-his-parents

This is worrying for all parents. In Wales there is a bill going through to give the welfare rights to the government. Even without such laws this can happen. What then? They even considered forcing MMR jabs previously. Our rights are being eroded? It begins with what you can put in a school lunch box and becomes serious like this. They are concerned about what we do so called neglect but every day most school children are entering asbestos ridden schools.

The way this family has been treated is disgusting and the government and the police should be ashamed, because I certainly am. These people, jehovah's witnesses or not are trying everything the can to get treatment for their beautiful son, when the hospital in this country (UK), will not provide the proton therapy that could ease this childs life. The parents MUST be released from prison to be with their child and more important, for their child Aysha to be with them. Is the UK suddenly forgetting the United Nations Convention for the Rights of Children, the European Law that gets shoved down parents throats when not needed. Read the 44 articles, Aysha's rights are being breached, he has the right to his family, he has the right to be loved, he has the right to be safe, and he has the right to medical treatment. If the UK NHS services cannot provide the treatment he needs, if his family, his legal parents, the people who conceived and gave birth to him, then he should be allowed anywhere in Europe to get that medical help. Its ashame that the UK government and police weren't so quick to help the abused children of Rotherham, Victoria Climbie and of course Baby Peter. You forsake those children. And my own forsaken children. I am ashamed to be British. Release the parents and get the family the help they need, not persecution.

Please David Cameron intervene quickly. These parents must be released from custody to their sick son's bedside and to care for the rest of their family. I have never written a plea like this on any website but feelings in my friends, family and neighbours are all totally in support of the Kings so do something fast before many families despair at our politicians inability to act or indeed even respond to a desperate situation.

• I am so furious that this family is being treated so appallingly, this family needs to be together. This boy needs this family, he needs his parents, and I am so broken for all of them. I hope our authorities are proud of themselves for hounding an easy target, they must be proud of themselves too for clearing their books of all those other crimes they have had since they do seem have a lot of time on their hands to make this family life a real misery and even better I am paying their wages. Funny how all our so called politicians have nothing to say too. Apparently this European Arrest Warrant is supposed to be used for chasing organized crime, rape and terrorists etc.so it’s funny how it is being used on this family, just means that we all have to watch our backs if we are unhappy with our nanny state.

William graham start a petition for that then, I think you'll find people do already have cosmetic surgery on the nhs, boob jobs, tummy tucks. So your refusing to sign this petition to give a child a treatment that has been proven to work and saved the life of a boy who had an 8cm brain tumour that the nhs missed for 8 months?! Who then had treatment that the uk provided and the cancer came back worse than ever and he wasn't given a very high chance of survival, then had this treatment in America and is now healthy again?!

It is a disgrace the manner in which the police have handled this. I am furious that they have been allowed to treat the parents as criminals. This poor little boy needs his mother and father to be with him. He cannot communicate and is in a strange place he must be terrified. Our police and politicians need to be severely reprimanded over this display of outrageous actions.
Where has the common sense gone we have none left in this country.

I had been hoping to find a petition to reunite Aysha and his parents at this horrendous time not one to provide him with the treatment. In common with other comments I find it appalling that the authorities cannot see the common sense approach and have the compassion to let this poor little boy have the comfort of his patents around him whilst legal discussions carry on in parallel. What a disgrace.

What nonsense !
It is the hospital and the NHS offering only radiotherapy which they have told the parents is highly likely to lead to extensive brain damage. Photon radiation which has been successful in so called terminal cases is available at considerable expense in America. These loving parents are selling their assets to raise the cash. What a puerile argument to compare that with cosmetic surgery.

I would like to sign a petition demanding his parent be allowed the freedom to look after their child as they wish.
I will not sign a petition encouraging individuals to dictate what treatment the NHS should provide. The next thing will be people wanting cosmetic surgery on the NHS.

I agree with everyone. I cant stop thinking of this poor family and wow what an amazing family they are. we can all learn from their united love and respect for each other. They have also acted so respectfully to the society and authorities that have so terribly let them down. I think they should be honoured instead of criminalised.
How about all the young children abused, maimed and even murdered by their parents every day in the UK? Where were the authorities then?
I have trouble sleeping when I think of this lovely family and the pain they are enduring. I feel so deeply sad.

I have 6 children and 8 Grandchildren. If one of them was seriously ill and I was told there was nothing more the NHS was able or willing to do but found out there was another hospital and/or country that could and would be able to do more (assuming it wasn't some banana republic) then I wouldn't hesitate to remove them from their current NHS location in order to transfer them to the hospital and/or country that offered such promise. I would not expect to be charged with anything other than being a good parent and/or grandparent determined to do everything within their legal power to help save the live of a dear and beloved family member. David Cameron can bring all this mistreatment of Aysha's parents to an immediate halt with one simple hone call. Will he act? We shall see !
