It is important that we get all our boys vaccinated against the HPV and this is not just a cancer for Girls!

The department said vaccinating boys could not be justified on cost-benefit grounds – but that was before the scale of the rise in HPV-related throat cancer was known. The Department of Health is being urged to review the national immunisation programme against the commonest sexually transmitted infection in response to a dramatic rise in cancer linked to oral sex.

The science is clear and the department needs to stop ignoring the evidence. I am currently working on a formal brief to force a new review of this policy.

My son is 17 so will never benefit from this vaccine, however, two months ago I was diagnosed with head and neck cancer and although I am his mum, the majority of people I have met in the similar situation are men! My oncologist told me that when this is implemented, this tupe of head and neck cancer will be eliminated!
Review the current vaccination policy and immunise males to halt the rise in cancer related to oral sex.
my husband had this and it was awful. if this vaccine can stop other families going through that then its a no brainer.
its crazy that they still dont cover boys. my nephew is 13 and he should be able to get it just like the girls do. stop waiting around.
JUST GET IT DONE. why is this even up for debate when the cancer rates are going up like they are.
every child deserves protection from anything that can harm them.

I agree this is very important and the government should be protecting our boys as well.
