Every week 12 fit and healthy, young people die from an undiagnosed
heart condition, also known as Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome
(S.A.D.S).
S.A.D.S strikes down hundreds of young
people – many of whom were involved in sport and physical exercise – at the
prime of their lives. Sport & physical exercise does not cause this problem
- but can exacerbate an existing undiagnosed condition and the high risk group
is the young.
If someone has collapsed and is unconscious, they need CPR and
defibrillator shocks within 8 minutes for the best chance of survival.
Sign our petition and help us to get 10 defibrillators in Leicester to reduce this outrageous number and help save lives!
This is so scary. My son plays football twice a week and you just never know. Leicester needs these everywhere now!!
