It seems absolutely scandalous to me that we are treated to so many versions of the novels of Jane Austen whilst the works of Georgette Heyer remain entirely untouched! I love Jane Austen as much as anyone but Heyer's books are absolutely wonderful, have a multitude of fans and would make amazing television if someone would only give them a chance! Just think - instead of yet another version of 'Emma' we could all be treated to something just as funny and romantic and intelligent but entirely fresh and new!
