Why is there such a huge discrepancy is adjunct pay within Departments at GU. Why do some departments pay their adjuncts $8000 per course and others $5250. For the same hours. It's a huge difference and it seems grossly unfair .

We're simply asking for equitable and just consideration for our commitment to the university's ideals and education mission. Considering the impressive growth of the Continuing Studies program, particularly Sports Industry Management, it's clear the school is receiving tremendous value in numerous ways from its adjunct's efforts, and it 's more than appropriate that the hard work be compensated, accordingly.

I'd be interested to know if the proportion of adjuncts at Georgetown is more, less or about the same as at other universities.

Georgetown students deserve well-trained, well-supported and well-paid instructors who can do their very best work. Adjuncts make up more than half the teaching happening at the University. It's time for the University to invest in their teachers.

I have worked at GU for nearly 30 years. When I was hired I was told I would get a cost of living raise each year. Barely ever over the years have I received a raise. GU can do better.
