The city council has officially approved the plans for our new off-leash dog park. It is heartening to see our collective vision for a safer and more social space moving toward reality. I look forward to watching this become a place where our community can gather and thrive together.

Being at the city of Batavia currently has no area for dogs to go exercise, play in socialize , our goal is signing this petition is to establish a fence in, off leash dog park where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife. We, the citizens of the city and surrounding area would like to develop a beautiful, well maintained space open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park's rules and restrictions. We are viewing This park as a community project, in partnership with the city of Batavia, New York designed to satisfy the needs of dog-owners and non-dog owners alike
Where not only the dogs, but also the people of the city can socialize and enjoy yet another attraction within the city limits. Please sign this petition to let city officials know that there is a need for this type of facility in our City!

A dog park would be so awesome around here!!! I was just thinking why isn’t there one near here?
We need a safe place for dogs to play and socialize. For dogs to be good canine citizens they need to stay socialized.
There’s ALOT of dogs in Batavia and the fee parks we currently have don’t even allow dogs! It’s about time we had a small space for our dogs to enjoy themselves too.
Hornell has a fenced in area and my dogs LOVED being able to go there and socialize off leash
The greatest beauty is in Nature. Create a dog park that is one with nature. That is the wild. Dogs just want to be wild and free and yet still have a safe warm cozy home to live with a companion aka human. Parks created to be Nature - Forests, NYC park, etc.

My dog gets so bored being cooped up all day. A place to run around off leash is exactly what this town is missing.
