The car is a classic and even if it's under a different name it would be a game changer for American performance cars, personally like the ss could be better if it was called a chevelle (which is basically is) and offer v6 amd high performance packages and selling a 2016 chevelle, El camino, camaro and corvette would bring the "last" true American car company stand above the rest

Why doesn't GM build the Holden Ute here, They call it a Chevrolet already in South Africa?

Please, please, please, Mary Barra?? We bought a 1970 El Camino from a guy, and Rafael's right, it's seriously the coolest car ever in the world. There's no more badass cars on the road anymore either. Bring the El Camino back and let's get some real muscle on the road!!

As a proud owner of a '86 El Camino, I'd love the chance to purchase a new version of my classic. Having seen the variety of Holden Utes available in Australia, I am convinced that these vehicles could find a loyal following in the U.S. Make mine LS powered with a manual and I'll give you my 30K. Congrats to Rafael on his interest in cars.

In my 46 years of car ownership I have never bought a GM vehicle, but would consider owning a new El Camino!
