I bought new a 1968 GMC Caballero which was a El Camino with GMC name plates-had it until 1998 when it was stolen-really liked it and would buy another if they started making them again

I would love to have a new El camino. It is just what I need for a typical day of errands that sometimes require big and bulky or dirty parts that better ride in a truck bed but aren't that heavy.

I,ve heard several times over the last 10 or so years that Chevy was going to start building the El-Camino again. I for one really wish they would being the El-Camino has always been my all time favorite. I had a 70 model SS in high school that I still have today. My wife and I drive it on the weekends now if the weather permits.

I'd buy one in a heartbeat! I do suppose that the purists would hate my idea of a front wheel drive, four banger five speed option though... rear wheel drive is horrible where I live. It would be super cool in this whole vintage throwback trend to see it look like a '59.
