I have an 1987 in the garage, but don't want to use it as the only daily for reliability reasons. I am within 6 months of my next car purchase and have the budget for a Chevy SS, just no love for a sedan body style.

Please bring the UTE to the states. If the production down there will soon end why not bring it to where it truly belongs home in the US with the rest of the AMERICAN MUSCLE cars and trucks!

If production in Australia of the UTE ended why not move the tooling to Canada and build some El Caminos? They would be eligable for light truck CAFE standards so they wouldn't be too bad. Offer it in a basic trim level and SS offer the V8 a La carte on the base trim so the basic car comes in under $30,000. I will buy it to go along with my 2013 Caprice PPV. Please don't use AFM on the engine if you can help it. It has been causing my frends with Pontiac G8s a lot of problems.

Ms Barra, I have to agree with young Mr Barkan, the reemergence of the El Camino is long overdue. Time for a new GM icon to be reborn and celebrated.
