Stick has become part of the heart and soul,of the Yankees. As both a player and an exeutive he has become part of the fabric of the Yankees almost as much as the pinstripes themselves.
Gene's contribution to the. Luv and his relationship with Yankee fans for so many decades has been something to cherish. It is time to recognize it for ever.

Gene is a true humanitarian and has been a baseball and Yankee life as a successful player, field manager, G.M. Special Advisor and the architect of the 1996 Championship Team. This is long overdue. Let's get this done for Gene, Sparky and Graig Nettles and schedule days around this for next season!
