Stick should definitely have a plaque in monument park but he also needs to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. No one has done more in the game than he has and being the architect behind 5 world championship teams is proof enough. I'm asking for ipetitions to make one up for the HOF.

I have felt for decades that it is ridiculous that Gene Michael isn't honored in monument park. He is more deserving than some there. Player, coach, manager, general manager and scout. The only Yankee to do this. And built the 90's dynasty. Sadly, it is too late for Gene to enjoy his day, but for future generations of fans, imperative that he be honored and his work become a permanent part of Yankee history.

As a 16 year old kid, I got to meet Gene Michael at a AA baseball game he was scouting. My seat was right next to him and he talked to me like a colleague, not a teenager. Kept telling me what he was doing and what he was looking for. It was amazing.
I can honestly say that without him, I don't know if I would have ever seen a Yankees World Series championship in my lifetime.
He belongs in monument park.

Gene Michael did it all, Yankee player, manager, held every position in the organization and was the Super Scout who was responsible for the Fab Five and all those championships from the 90s-2000; I think he is more than worthy of a plaque in Monument Park
