We believe that gender equality in a place of work is a very important issue. Women are taught as not having the same ability of men when at work. This is leading to women being paid less than men due to people underestimating them. We feel that as men and women do the same job, they should be paid the same amount of money. But why is that not the case?

In 1920 the suffragettes fought for women's rights but only succeeded in some areas. These inspirational women gave women the right to vote but not to be looked at in the same way as men. In the last world cup, on average men were paid £22m to every £630,000 women were paid.

This is the reason why we are asking you to sign this petition. Remember, a sign for this petition gets us one step closer to gender equality.
