Apr 04, 2020 I absolutely agree with this and for 2 main reasons. The service which is being provided in the place of traditional educational learning, in a bricks and mortar building, with all associated resources, does not even come close to justify the 3rd term fee cost. Secondly, with the mass job losses and salary cuts, you are effectively calling for the protection of your own teachers, which will come of the backs of those who are already feeling financial pressure. I absolutely would agree with a compromise and would be happy to pay, but you as a company must take equal share in protecting your staff and not put your profit and your pocket above everyone else.. I seem to remember seeing #allinthistogether plastered all over your emails and online social media accounts. It seems that this is not quite true when it comes to Gems Corporate HQ.

I agree on that suggestion to reduce the fees by 30% , as it is now not normal tuition fees but it is distance learning , without using school facilities

In this difficult time, Private Companies are asking staff to go on unpaid leave , they are making salary cuts and some people are unfortunately losing jobs. Will appreciate GEMS Education to come forward, as first Institute in DUBAI and set an example, on how to support the community in this pandemic. Thanks.

I fully support the decision of fee reduction. As a working parent I find it extremely stressful with the amount of Time I have to put on online studies . Having said this when most of the work is being done by parents, it genuinely does not justify to pay the same out of fees. Gems is a very big group can manage the salaries and costs if needed. The parents shouldn’t have to sacrifice alone. We appreciate the efforts the teachers are putting but please consider the amount of time the parents are investing on online education given that we are not trained to be teachers it’s an extremely frustrating process.

I want the fee to be reduced. School can pay the teachers and for utilities from their profit margins. I have to buy more stationary, more equipments and tools. I m not sure i ll even get my salary!

Eventhough I have already paid the full amount of Term3 fees but I also feel its not fair on us to pay the full fees while schools are closed ...we are not using several school's facilities ..e.g Electricity...water...child care and health care...security...plus we are doing most part of the teaching at home.

I agree, the school should give us 50% back in the term 3 fees, as the students aren’t using the school facilities.

One more thing that I would like to mention that the UK assessment has been cancelled and as per my knowledge this is paid by person. I do believe the are a lot of cost cut this term done so far, therefore I requesting a 50% discount on the term 3 fees as a minimum

GEMS schools must reduce their school fee by at least 20% as kids are no longer using school facilities and activities are no longer used.
