I truly hope that gems do come with a solution since our kids are just attending online. I completely agree that online platforms are too challenging but we are too facing salary cuts. Please consider those families who don't even have savings and are only living to provide kids good education.

Our pays are being reduced, pls consider the situation and in this tough times schools must think about the circumstances and consider reducing fees specially when the school facilities are not being used.

please let me know what relief of school fees that we will available for our family to assist with summer term dues. My wife has been on unpaid lead for close to a month and her entire salary for the March-June was effectively earmarked going to pay for the boys school fees. While the letter notes unpaid until May 1, in discussions with her employer she is aware that due to lack of current and anticipated orders until after Eid, that they will be asking her to extend until end of June so our entire budgeted funds for the children’s fees is no longer available to us.
My company has not yet issued an official letter to me but as we discussed, I will be asked to accept a minimum of 25% reduction in salary and allowances. I am very much part of the managements on-going discussion on how we manage our cost structures during a period where we have seen a 70% drop in March and our sales projections are calling for a 50-75% across all our verticals over the next 4 months. As such the 25% reduction is best case. It may be as high as 50% and there is a slim possibility that they will ask me to take unpaid leave as well.
we have 3 school going boys it Years 8, 4, and 2, if my wife was working there is no way we would have been able to maintain their learning since remote learning started over 2 weeks ago. I too have been working remotely on and off and when at home have been supporting their studies but I still have a full time job which hasn’t necessarily lightened up as are dealing with the fallout of upstream and downstream supply chain disruptions as a result of shutdowns in Europe, Asia, and the UAE. I hope that the school realizes that the parents are being burdened with having to do a substantially more work with the education of our children and are still demanding the same school fees.
I addition, I believe that if school looks at this situation objectively and the commercial impact, while some costs of fixed, there are several others overhea

As the situation we live and we as families left our jobs mom and dad and no income is there , we are impressed and also we sit with our kids at least 6 hours to finish there study b what they send school is not enough for understanding of kids and also we prepare projects to make them understand and we are not teachers ! Also we bought two new devices for our kids since we have 2 kids it’s cost and pressure on us so why we must pay full fees while we make study and pay others fees over school cost .
Note : school doesn’t pay any extra bill for electricity and services so this must be deduct from the student fees .

In these tough circumstances that we all are facing, the least GEMs group could do is to waive one term’s fees and refund it to me.

I completely agree with reducing the fees especially with today’s financial situation and reduction in our monthly income but I believe the lessons are sufficient currently for the new distance learning.

Totally agree with this. There should be a reduction considering the overall market situation
