Totally agree with this petition. Come on GEMS, u always claim to be leader in this and that. It’s now time to step up and take a lead in offering relief package to all families instead of offering none or petty relief. Look around what other schools are offering, then take a good look at yourself

There is financial impact on business in U.A.E. It will take time to come out of this situation So we need support from the government and from the school authorities to reduce the tution fees by minimum 50%

I have received notification that I will be getting a pay cut. This could be small or even go to the extreme of 3-6 months without pay. Helping reduce fees will not only show your support to majority of parents who are facing similar situations but will also help us parents plan on managing monthly commitments as we need to dig into our resources to make sure we can continue giving our kids an education within GMA. These are tough times and a support from businesses that earn essential revenue from salaried parents would show further support to the community during challenging thimes like the one we are currently in. Landlords are deferring rents for 3 months, DEWA is giving discounts on monthly bills, delivery services are offering their services for free or at a discount. The least GMA management could do is to give a discount considering after rents, school fees are the most expensive liability families are faced with here in the UAE at least. Thanks.

We had already requested the school for this consideration, sent an email to them last week. As an SME business owner we have been facing severe cash crunch since there continues to be considerable delay in delivery of stocks coming from abroad, delay in payments from customers and payments stuck with suppliers unable to cope with timelines. In this situation school must consider atleast 50% waiver for the 3 months, it will ease the situation for everyone. We are all taking the brunt equally but the schools decision to pay there staff in full puts more pressure on SMEs and employees who’ve had pay cuts. As an SME then we end up faltering as we are forced to reduce fees from our struggling customers and suppliers and buy are don’t getting the same consideration from the school.

I’m a small business owner. Business is closed for more than 20 days. Paying salaries & managing school fees for 2 children is getting extremely burdensome. Want some respite from schools. This is my ardent & humble request.
