To whom it may concern,
I am writing to you to ask you to take a wise and fare decision regarding paying full tuition for our kids for term 3 while they are learning at home and this will be happening for the entire term and we as parents are the one who teach the kids and spend huge efforts and time. So we are playing the role of the teacher for full day and at the same time we have to pay the full fees which is not fare at all. Teachers are sending a 10 minutes video and tasks to be done and that’s it. We are having all that headache and pressure teaching all the subjects not only for one year group but for more than one. Adding to all this time spent by us,we are having other responsibilities and work to attend and please note that we as employees, we are having half salaries for three months because of the situation happening.
Most of us are spending time from morning to night around 12 hours to finish every day learning for our kids which is a unrealistic and we have other little kids to take care of and other responsibilities as wifes and mothers.
To be fare, Please reduce the fees to the half so we can pay for schools otherwise, we won’t accept to pay more with all this teaching pressure on us.

Fee reduction should be based on service and not just means tested please by all means do more for those losing their jobs but you can’t expect people to pay twice school and a nanny! And u can’t expect people to pay for something they are not getting!

We will still want a partial refund after the discount of the term fee and an option of adjustment towards next year. We don’t only want to force ourselves to next term without a partial refund.

It’s a must to do a reduction for this semester as the quality that the kids are receiving from the home schooling is not the same also the school is not paying the same amount when they give the elearning service ! They don’t pay the same expenses nor they are using any materials nor anything at all ! So it’s unfair to pay the full amount of term 3 ...

For us parents we chose to invest in our children so education in DAA because of the campus , activities, sports. However in remote learning none of that is there ! The quality of education is so poor !! There is no way a KG student can navigate through it without 24/7 assistance from me or my child’s dad . So why will
You charge same amount for remote learning as face to face learning ??? Other than English and Arabic we stopped checking other classes as they are just useless uploads of videos ! Zero quality!! Everyone has a part to play in this situation!! Not only parents but school too !! I WILL NOT ACCEPT TO PAY SAME AMOUNT for this remote learning !! THIS IS JUST NOT RIGHT !!!

Gems needs to support the students and parents and provide a discount in school fees so that we may all overcome these diffucult times unanimously. Conducting online classes for FS dies not hafebthe same impact as a classroom, where there is one on one interaction. Fees for FS needs to reduce considerably.
