Distance education is just a way around the real education. It is not that effective, there are only 1-2 love sessions per day ( today for my grade 2 child there was no live session at all) so rest of the time child does self study or parent has to make the child understand. If parents are sharing this responsibility, why is the school charging full fee? If child is not using school facilities why is full fee to be paid? Relief package to few is not a viable solution but all parents should get a discount.

Distance learning Is effecting the home environment overall, we are missing the family environment which is currently full of tense. I’m lucky because my wife is ex. Teacher so she has the patience and the skills to manage the distance learning however my daughter is 2 years old and needs some attention which is getting less from the time the distance learning started.
Also, my wife is performing the role of the teacher which is too much as she has other responsibilities.
My son is in year one and he needs interaction with kids it’s a part of his development hence I don’t think distance learning for this age is useful.
Also I would like to address the point that we have received a letter from GEMS Education CEO which was disappointing!!! The letter shows clearly that he cares about the fees and how to collect them and pay his 3,000 teachers without considering the parents situations and the following facts:
- distance learning will never be equivalent to physical/ actual learning in terms of cost.
- schools have reduced their operating costs by closing their doors I.e. cleaning service, utility charges, security, service, etc..
- we paid for physical/ actual learning as interaction with kids is very important.
- invoiced fees for physical/ actual learning include teachers interactions, physical exercises, etc. which are not in when it comes to distance learning.
- Additional cost have been added on us being parents I.e. internet, printer, iPad, stationary (although we have paid for this however they are locked in the school) we had to buy new.
we need to understand each other situation so we can pass this difficult time.
Accordingly, I believe the fees for term 3 should be reviewed and consider the facts from both sides.

Students can't learn anything at all in online courses, all courses have to be taught by themselves, and teachers at school are totally different! Because the child is too young!
