I think every one from government , employees to parents are sharing the burden of the situation. So it is fair to expect that Gems also does the same and contributes by reducing the fees charged to parents who have to now manage the increased stress of work due to Covid 19 and also increase stress of kids school work.

My kids has been in school for 8 years now, I have three children, we always talk about being one community supporting each other, we have been supporting the school all the way and for all these years, with every year raise of fees, we didn’t complain at all, but in this situation, it’s the school turn to support us as a community, teachers are doing their best to sure to reach the children and to give them the learning in all means, but we are doing more work and effort to help our children understand and finish the work assigned.... everyone agrees that it’s not fair doing big part of teachers work but still pay the same....
The situation will not be solved in a month or two, so a reduction of next year fees will be appreciated if gems really care about their community and their families .

If pretty much every other school is offering discounts, then GEMs, as the biggest network of schools should too. The teachers are doing a brilliant job of the learning but we are not getting the complete service we have been invoiced and paid for and as parents we are having to spend significant time in supporting the learning.
I have had to take 50% unpaid leave to support my business and my husband has taken a considerable salary cut.
This term should not be about maintaining profit for GeMs, it should be about working with the school community and all the families and Accepting that every single family and child is being impacted by this once in a lifetime pandemic. A terms profit should not be the priority and to be honest it has left a very bad feeling amongst the parent community.

With many families potentially losing jobs and salary cuts, it is imperative that the school must look into fee reduction of at least 40% for the next sesssion until June 2020
