Asking bank statement for fee reduction is not fair. A blanket discount is required. Now the school is online and it’s not using its full capacity and even teachers are working from home. Many schools are showed the way offering discounts. Requesting the school management to take an favourable decision.

Other school providers are providing at least minimum 20% fee discount. Why GEMS has not followed suit? Very discriminatory to ask for personal details in order to apply a discount etc. you will have a lot of students withdrawal from your schools because if this and moved to schools with competitors that care!

A flat 30% fee reduction for T-3 is bare minimum. Financial hardships for us families are imminent in the near future. I have 3 school going kids here in Dubai.

Online learning is not a complete substitute. Parents have to spend around 6 hours a day, assisting their children complete the daily assigned lessons, provide resources, stationary, technology, not to mention the added mental strain and pressure of working from home simultaneously.
While we appreciate the school’s decision to pay its staff in full, we also strongly believe that this is purely an employer’s decision and responsibility and that the financial implications of this decision must not be passed on to the parents.
In addition to this, the children are not attending school for the entire semester, neither using the premises, utilities, facilities nor all extra circular activities which are now closed for the entire semester thus reducing the school’s costs substantially.

Highly recommend GEMS reconsiders its stance and provide relief to parents in these tough circumstances.
