I have two students with you, and we all know this time that we are facing this pandemic situations means were facing the financial. problems, we can't pay that much amount that you are asking as of now...

I have lost my job, so it is difficult for me to pay the fees for both of my kids. I request to help in this matter

Understanding that school has fixed expenses like salary of teachers and support staff, but with reduced utility bills the expenses are reduced. These should be passed onto the parents.

Authorities should take more positive approach to this forceful experimental e-learning program where parental involvement is much more regardless of their extra miles to attain financial sustainability during this pandemic situation. Many of us are facing 50% salary cut and loss of job threatens. Please not that we are paying tuition fees and other miscellaneous fee for the full academic term. On top of that why are you putting extras ? Yes, we do understand the extra efforts and valuable time of all the staffs involved in our children's learning. But we are finding it very difficult to manage our income these days. Kindly consider the situation and reduce the school fees and unnecessary increments.

School must reduce the fees provided that there are no physical classes and the online content isn’t engaging. Also with the current situation our income is also impacted.

Younger children need personal *professional* guidance, explanation and advise how and what to do. Difficult to make the kids of 7 yrs old sit on their own from 1pm -6:15 pm/5:30pm n 9 yrs old till 7:15pm/5:30pm . Not able to follow details all the time ot some technical issue, language word pronunciation not easy to follow through online teaching. Lots of effort and time is spent by parents to make the kids pay attention, help them understand and help them do their task. Regular printouts required assume that parents have a printer available, which we don't at home, as I am sure many parents don't. Even assuming one is available, these tasks lead to wastage of paper, cartridge and money and then daily making the kids write and uploading all their notes not sure how practical it will be. And I worry if geniune teaching and learning will be effective while kids have Google with all answers at one click. What exactly are we paying the *full academic year tuition and other miscellaneous fees for again?* Where is the value being delivered for the money that is being demanded? At this present moment we need to make finacial savings as sooner or later we will see more Salary cuts, loss of jobs and have to save the money instead of spending on this forceful e-learning which most of it involves Parents contribution. Much more positive approach should be to stop this _*experimental*_ e-learning so there wont be any financial stress and to reopen schools once the situation settles down like just like the positive initiative Kuwait has taken.

It's a shame gems didn't lead this initiative and tried to get away with half a solution...

a fee reduction is absolutely fair demand from parents as the schools overhead costs are reduced also the burden of teaching and preparing students is now shared equally by parents also an organisation as esteemed as gems should have been the first one to take steps to reduce fees whereas we are seeing other competitive small education groups are taking initiatives to reduce fees across emirates.

Good Morning Sir/Madam I'm a parent of 4 kids studying in GOOIS, I'm the only bread winner in my family now, my wife used to do social work and was a helping hand for me but due to this break she had to stop. By profession I'm an Electrician with a minimal salary(can provide my salary slip) and I want to provide my children and wife with the best. But this becomes a tough task as my salary isn't enough. I always want to believe my children are in safe hands at school but if teachers are causing my child to have anxiety then it's better they stay home. Since the e-learning has been introduced in schools there are some technical isusses faced by many students. There are 4 kids in my house by the Grace of God and everyone has to access the e-learning platform at the same time. This causes the app to lag and when approached about the problem to the teachers they think children use this as an excuse to get away. They embarrass the students in front of the class which makes the child feel insecure. My daughter literally shivers and stammers while answering during class. I'm not happy with this kind of effect on my child's psychology. I understand they are teachers and must be respected by the students but it's really very frustrating when the teachers discriminate in the class and the child can't even speak up for themselves because this behavior apparently "disrespects the teacher". I believe our hardwork is not for our children to face this kind of approach from the teachers. I humbly request you to look further on my query. This is just a little to say but this isn't just burdening the students but also the parents. Kindly look through this matter.

These online classes are great and do save a lot of time but a lot of effort is put into guarding the children but other than that these are not bad.
