Dear Sir/ mam, Good Day Due to the current situation it will be helpful for us for reducing the fee because currently myself and my husband also facing problem in the job and we are also at home and to pay the full fees in the school it will be quite difficult for us. School management and government please consider our current situation and help us during current difficult time.

I have 3 children studying in Gems Our Own English Sharjah. Unfortunately I am stuck up in India and is impossible to make conducive arrangements for all my 3 children to attend classes which are scheduled at the same time. Request school management to reduce fees or to postpone the session by a month and cover the lost time during vacation

Regarding fee reduction

Kindly give a blanket fee discount as an appreciation for all the efforts parents are putting in. Distance learning is NOT the same as the learning at the physical premises. As parents, we are sharing the work responsibilities of teachers.  Schools are saving on huge operational costs. A multimillion dollar company like GEMS Education is saying that they want parents to pay full fees so that they can pay their staff! Everyone knows that's not true. GEMS is a profit generating organization which has made millions of dollars through many years. What harm will it do if they don't make that profit for JUST ONE SCHOOL TERM??  And they are saying they will MEANS TEST parents. I don't think if ever in the history of this kind nation, parents have been insulted like this. GEMS Education has ridiculed the very concept of being in this together. The letter sent to parents reeks of arrogance and insensitivity. They call us "GEMS family"! Who treats family like this?  We do not want charity! We want justice. We are NOT getting the services we paid for so don't we deserve atleast 20% discount? Every parent deserves this- everyone. Then if GEMS feels they want to be very generous and philanthropic, they can give further discounts to those affected by COVID 19. This is an unprecedented time and when it will be over every person will remember what support was extended to them and what was not. Don't let this be a dark chapter for Dubai parents. 

Due to current situation as schools are shut down / not operative the expense are minimum and kids studying e learning from home request to reduce school fees due to job cuts / salary cuts and some of us have NO SALARY due to current circumstances, thus request and appreciate the school support during this tough time . These are exceptional circumstances faced by all at this time of crisis, where people are taking pay cuts and even losing their jobs. Many schools have already announced retroactive fee reductions. It is only fair that families who have supported every fee increase at the GEMS schools all these years and remained steadfast supporters of the school, are shown the same understanding and extended the same support at these unprecedented times. A discount on the last term fee is not only warranted, but also completely fair under the circumstances.

I fully agree with the content that the school must review to taking full fee during this e learning period. It is totally not acceptable

My husband is out of work since 1 week and now further for 2 weeks ... keeping the current situation on mind , I request Gems to show solidarity and reduce the school fees.
