We love the teachers. It’s a difficult time for everyone. And yes, it’s not fair for the school to just pass the burden to parents in order to ensure teachers’ & school’s staff salary are not cut. It should be a shared responsibility. There should be a certain amount of discount applicable for all. And also additional discounts for those directly affected by the pandemic. We understand the fixed opex the school needs to bear. Thus, the discounts can be given to parents through reduction of profit rates for both Gems and the school.

We recieve a bad education quality
Most of file uploaded from teacher not working
And she didnt reply us
Didn’t check student work
And just she sit 10 min online useless
For me what you can ask for 25% from term fees
Even we stop school from 8 march and we had 3 more week in term 2

The reduction in costs the schools will get by not being open, should be passed on to parents eg utilities / stationery / events etc. Teachers and school staff should be supported as no social system to facilitate furloughing.

Fully support everything in this petition. The quality of education offered by GEMS has diminished with e-learning and it requires far greater inputs/efforts from parents. A significant reduction is needed for this reason, and of course the massive economic impacts being felt by families across the world.
