I really miss Geauga lake I wish they would have never shut it down

Should of never been closed.

Mike

I have so many great memories!! I wish it was still there!!

Adam

Bring back geauga lake

Michael Walters

It is shameful that you purchased this once great amusement park only to shut it down. Too bad you couldn't handle having another amusement park in the area. Then to top it off, you leave the Big Dipper to sit & rot. :-(

Mary Smith

Ruined one of the best parks.

nick holt

Very sad how they did it!!

I refuse to visit any of Cedar Fairs parks, shame on you.

I'm joining the fight to save GL, whether that be in person or virtually fighting to save its life via cyberspace!

This was a disgusting travesty! The fact that it happened at all simply due to the fact that it was completion for cedar point. Reality they were two different parks. Directed at two different types of "seekers". There could have been lots of money to be made. And now even more so. Just with all the hoopla surrounding Geauga Lake. It would take in a lot of cash. Now people know what it's like to lose it! It was wrong to do it so abruptly. There should have at the very least a proper goodbye. Now all we have are the ghosts of Summers past.

Mike

we want our park back

Joshua Ramsey

I grew up going to Geauga Lake! Glad your pockets got full while destroying a legendary place!

Pamela Durrant

Cedar air destroyed fantastic park and ruined the lives of about 3500 people all at one failed swoop.

Christopher Lobas

The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries. (Winston Churchill). It seems that Cedar Fair acted in the true spirit of capitalism and stole all the blessings in this situation. It was a clever, sly, and stealthy move. Who could blame them? The sole purpose of a business is to make a profit. But seizing, slashing, and burning the Geauga park was likely not the only solution available, and Cedar Fair could have intelligently strategized to serve the greater public benefit, planned to enhance the enjoyment of even more guests, and even increased the profits from both parks.

I grew up going here with my parents back in the 60's and 70's..when I had my own children I also took them to the park consistently..It was such a great park and there is no rhyme or reason why cedar fair would allow it to be destroyed!! How sad that such a jewel with so many memories had to be disassembled by cedar fair!! Especially after they promised to do so much more to improve it!!

Now I love amusement parks. Grew up in Geauga Lake. Great family place affordable, close to home and full of fun for all sizes. Cedar point its fun but its further away and more for grown up thrill seekers I won't even go now because I would rather head to Pa for Hershey park or Kennywood for my kids. Because Cedar fair killed my home town family fun park do something with it. It is a perfect picture of what is wrong this country. Give us Geauga lake back . Now.

Terrible end to a great park, I miss going there every summer. Big Dipper gave me my first ride with my late father when I was about 3 years old. It should still be giving rides somewhere!

PLEASE BRING GEAUGA LAKE BACK!! It was the first ever amusement park I ever went to, Big Dipper was my first roller coaster and double loop was my first loopy coaster. I went there every summer since I was 2 and now I'm 19. Even tho it's not a long time for me to have gone there, geauga lake is a place filled with many memories. And I miss it! I cry when even I go past it and it's just an empty lot. :,(

I grew up on treat rd. I loved summers at the park, it is such a great family memory for me. Between the loss of sea world and geauga lake, I feel like so many new families in Aurora and northeast Ohio never got the chance to have these awesome memories! Bring the park back!!!

Because of the location and the price I would go to Geauga Lake more often than Cedar Point. I miss being able yo go to an amusement park more often. It had a nice variety for all ages. A little better than Cedar Point.

we need Geauga Lake back. Not only is it regional, but it provides jobs and an amusement park in-between Cedar Point and Kennywood.
