Gavan Pamer: Artistic Director Reinstatement

We the supporting students of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School, performers of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center, and the community members and families of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center hereby request that Mr. Gavan Pamer be reinstated as Artistic Director of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center. We the petitioners hereby petition the non-profit organization Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center Board of Directors on the grounds that Mr. Gavan Pamer shall be reinstated as Artistic Director of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center. We wish to accomplish the reinstatement of Mr. Gavan Pamer for the better of the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School’s Musical Theater, Theater, and Dance Majors. We believe that the education provided by Mr. Gavan Pamer will be an insurmountable loss for the students of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School because of the continual training that Mr. Gavan Pamer provides. The qualifications and experience in the Performing Arts field that Mr. Gavan Pamer has acquired over the years include: Arts Administration, Theatre, Musical Theatre, Art, Dance, Theatrical Production, Teaching, Acting, Film, Improvisation, Drama, Plays, Singing, Stage, Music, and most importantly Mr. Gavan Pamer has become a mentor and an inspiration to so many former students and current students.

The supporting students from Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School collectively agree that we would immensely enjoy the opportunity to continue to learn from and work with Mr. Gavan Pamer. We believe this is the best way to revolutionize our performance abilities and also our learning and understanding of Musical Theater repertoire and history. The Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center’s Performers are not only losing the opportunity to work with an extremely qualified, intelligent, and experienced Director, Performer, Musician, and Teacher, but the Performers are also being drastically deprived on the premise of what Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center’s Mission Statement says, “Since the Center first opened its doors in June, 2006, its mission has been to strengthen the cultural, educational, and economic vitality of the tri-state region by making high-quality arts and education programs available, accessible, and affordable for everyone.” Being Performers we realize that complications and problems will arise and things will not always go our way. With the decision to dismiss Mr. Gavan Pamer from his duties of Artistic Director with Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center we feel that our ability to perform and demonstrate our skills and knowledge will no longer be as it was due to the current situation; thus leading to a production that may not be a professional caliber production due to the current nature of Mr. Gavan Pamer not having a part in the production. Also, we as young adults believe that it is not fair for the younger generation of performers with Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center to be underprivileged with not having the opportunity to work with Mr. Gavan Pamer. These young individuals will not receive the same instruction and we believe they would have a better chance of reaching their full individual potential under the teaching and direction of Mr. Gavan Pamer. The Performers of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center will continue to perform in various performances at the center and some possibly for the rest of their lives in various places throughout the world. These Performers will always remember one thing about their time at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center and that will be the wonderful productions that they got to share with the supportive community, families, friends, fellow performers, and most importantly a Professional Production Staff. We believe though that the people who are hurt the most through this abysmal decision are the community members that are dedicated audience members and subscription holders. Also, being a non-profit organization, Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center could in tenure lose donations and donors because the faithful and gracious people that once made these generous offers may now see a production that is not up to the professionalism they were so accustomed to seeing before.

We the supporting parties: students of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School, performers of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center, and the community members and families of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center standby the petition signed below, and indicate with our signature that we believe in the sole contents of this document and therefore willingly stand forth in the efforts to reinstate Mr. Gavan Pamer as Artistic Director of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center. We vividly understand that Mr. Gavan Pamer is no longer an employee of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center but all we are asking is that you the Board of Directors of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center review the arguments and evidence provided above in this binding document and make a non-biased decision that is not only best for Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center and the community, but the students and performers that were fortunate enough to learn from a truly intelligent and talented individual, Mr. Gavan Pamer. We would like to thank you for your time and trust that you will review this document in a timely, orderly, and a fair matter.
