From Pensacola to Key West, Florida’s parks are a big reason why our nation’s park system has been called “America’s best idea.” But these treasured landscapes and parks across the country are at risk of logging, mining, drilling and reckless development on private lands within and adjacent to their boundaries.  Fortunately, the Land and Water Conservation Fund has helped safeguard parks like the Everglades for future generations, by funding land purchases where pollution or development near the park could take place.  We must fully fund the Land and Water Conservation Fund at its intended $900 million level and protect these funds from being raided for other purposes, so that we no longer have to worry about fighting big polluters and their political allies for the resources needed to protect the Everglades and the rest of Florida's natural heritage. 

 We, the undersigned, implore our Congressional leaders to stand up and protect our parks. Give the Land and Water Conservation Fund the funding it needs and deserves!
