This petition is hopefully going to be seen by Nintendo of America & Japan. With a view of persuading them to produce a brand new Gameboy console for it's 30th anniversary in 2019.

The Gameboy was an iconic console & fought off tough competition from other companies, and to this day the handheld is popular with retro gamers and console modders alike.

I for one, would love to see a brand new Original DMG-01 console with a full colour backlit screen, extra controls, and more importantly a cartridge slot that can play original, color & advance games.

There is no better time to honour this icon on it's 30th birthday in 2019!

Just an idea... the name of the console could be the Gameboy30 or Gameboy-XXX 30th Anniversary Edition (the XXX being the number 30 in Roman numerals).

So please Nintendo - do a one off console to honour your most iconic machine ever!
