I think this is a good start but we also have to continue to demand true educational equity from our elected school board members for all systemic inequities to be addressed.

Perhaps the Park in front of the County Offices on 23rd could have plaques, etc. for all the various ethnicity's in the county, particularly historically, instead of commemorations of violence. Black, Latino, Italian, Irish, English, Karankawa, German, Swiss etc. that settled in the county. Perhaps the City could do something similar in addition to an Emancipation Park.
