If we plan on making change then our voice must be heard. Change has to occur and lets take the necessary steps to ensure it happens. The Galax Police Department needs to stop utilizing their power to intimidate those individuals that do not fit into the mold of what they consider acceptable. Ethnicity and your Status should not dictate how your living situation should be within a city. They are profiling our Hispanics and African Americans. They are allowing family members on the force to work the same shifts. They are unwilling to acknowledge that individuals on their force could potentially need mandatory counseling. Anger and hatred foster unnecessary situation and in small towns those unnecessary situations are more susceptible to being brushed under a table. Not anymore. I push for change.
