The speed limits in Galax, Va have been lowered from 45 to 35 miles per hour on a federal highway. Citizen input was not asked for nor was it put to any kind of vote or referendum. We the citizens of Galax and the surrounding counties want the speed limit raised back to 45 miles per hour where it has been for some 20 odd years.
