Dear Ms. Kadra,

We, the signed below parents/guardians of G9 students at ACA girls campus- Hawally, would like to raise the following points regarding the grade's English teacher.

  1. All the students, with parents/guardians, are signing down below, are complaining about the teacher's teaching style. The teacher is not offering enough explanation of the subject thus the girls are finding it difficult to understand the curriculum.
  2. Many times, the teacher refused to answer the girls queries and referred them to search for the answers online and on Youtube! As far as we are aware, online learning is over and we are back to face to face education. We believe the girls have the right to ask questions if they do not understand anything and the teacher should have the patience to answer and explain. This is why we trust ACA with our daughters and their educational experience as we believe ACA will offer them the best learning experience possible.
  3. The teacher shows, the least we can say, unfriendly behavior in the classroom. The girls are discouraged from asking any questions and thus are beginning to dislike the subject all together. We expect our girls to be treated with respect and great dignity.
  4. The grading system is unclear. Without clear rubric, capacity to ask questions and comprehensive teaching, the students can not acquire knowledge, nor can they learn from their mistakes. Grade 9 is the year where they establish their GPA, thus it is not a time for experimenting and guess works.

We do realize the school is under tremendous pressure to handle this year and the distinctive circumstances following the global pandemic. But we are trusting the ACA will do the required to support the students along the same standards they were taught in previous years.

We believe our girls are smart and willing to learn and that is shown in their grades in other classes. Also, they all miss their school and are so very happy to return to regular education. We all that this enthusiasm is not lost due to the above mentioned experience.

Regards,

Grade 9 Parents/Guardians.
