Dear parents of FWCS children,

This year is the first that i've been aware of the fact that our children are being forced to walk to and from school if they're less than 2 miles away. This seems to me unfair and unsafe. Most of the school year it is still dark when they leave for school and on many days the temperature is dangerously below freezing. If a child can't get to school due to weather and no transportation the parent and student alike are punished.

I've been told that they've decided to do this due to cost. Im not sure how stopping at a place you're passing by can possibly cost more than not stopping does.

• Aside from weather, within the last 365 days 2 collage boys went missing and are yet to have been found. COLLEGE age. Making our high school and younger kids walk alone is a huge concern and terrible danger.

I would like to take as many signatures as possible to our legislature. I've been told by FWCS that this is the only way to try making this change. Please sign to help protect our children.
