Everyone would benefit, the taxpayer, the arts patron, the city, and even those cherishing the building's historic significance. I'm not sure why there would be any push back on this whatsoever, especially when leased by a reputable group. I worked with Leigh Ann Cannady several years ago on a production in the Cumming Playhouse. I cannot think of a better person to bring the facility up to it's fullest potential and breath life into it... A wonderful idea.

I would absolutely love to see The Cumming Playhouse prosper to its fullest potential. I can’t think of any more capable hands to take it there than those of Leigh Ann Cannady.

Ms. Cannady has a great idea here! We can’t lose community arts as we are already losing ground with the schools promoting arts unless it’s band. Please support this idea!

LeighAnn Cannady is an incredible entrepreneur, leader, artist, and collaborator. She has the vision and experience to transform the Playhouse into a thriving, profitable theatre venue, and artistic epicenter. She’s determined and tenacious. And most importantly, she understands what theatre can do for a community, a family, and even a single person. She knows how theatre brings people together, educates and expands, entertains and amazes. She has the rare ability to seamlessly merge artistic and business goals into a unified plan that is successful by any standard. She’s kind, generous, compassionate, smart, and savvy. Do whatever you have to do to get her involved.

I love this idea. The Playhouse is a great asset for the community, but so many haven’t ever been there due to the insanely high ticket prices. Leigh Ann’s vision for the Playhouse will bring fiscal relief to the city and lower ticket prices to the public, who can then enjoy the arts locally.

As someone who lives in unincorporated Cherokee, only a few miles for Forsyth, Cumming is the closest "big" city for us to frequent. We spend so much time there between work, and our kid's activities. We had no idea there was a playhouse until this was brought to light. It would be amazing to have the ability to be apart of shows there for our kids and see adults perform as well. We love FAPA and Leigh Ann and her professionalism, kindness, huge heart, and unwavering commitment and passion for theater and the community of Cumming. She is a true gem, and we hope others who don't know her yet embrace her willingness and desire to help the playhouse, as it would be a huge loss on the community and city's part to not seize the opportunity to work with such an asset as her and take advantage (in a positive means) of all she is offering and has to offer and share.
