He played an important role in that movie because his work helped them a couple of times. He should be brought back as a "I got an old friend who might still have a few tricks up his sleeve" type of move.

It would be a gift of the producers for us hardcore fast&furious fans to bring back an "old" but really really gold character. Jimmy was very likeable and it was cool to have such a character in the cast. it fit cause there in fact are a lot of asian (american/canadian/german etc.) males who have a passion for cars.
more important than that, the F&F fans always appreciated that the writers and producers included a vast variety of (main) character with different ethnic, cultural and social backgrounds. it conveys the important message of not focussing on the differences but on the mutualities.
with that said i would love to see Jimmy in the new Fast and Furious movie! Thank you!
