I have 5 children who attend Ontario Schools and their quality of education is a big concern for our family. I am a taxpayer and I do not feel this is fair. I provide lots of money for other people. What about my kids? As our school runs out of money, the community will not support our levies and our sport and music programs get cut. Then we look at classroom teachers. Our kids already sit in class sizes of 30 students. Please be fair to all!

This type of school funding must stop. For years now theres been talk of a new way to fund schools and nothing is being done. There are options! Also, this is getting closer to taxation without representation at the state level.

It will be financially devastating and unfair to Ontario If the state legislature goes back on its word to reimburse schools for TPP losses. That is not a solution to the school funding issue.

As a Senior Citizen who has sent my children to Ontario Schools and now have grandchildren in the schools. feel our money should stay in our community. We moved to Ontario to have good schools and expect our tax money to stay in this community.

When we moved into Ohio from Michigan, we were AMAZED at the way Ohio nickel and dimes you on every small tax imaginable. Despite the outright tax rate being "lower," we paid more overall in taxes in this state than in Michigan. While that is a disappointment, what's more disappointing is when tax dollars are manipulated away from their original, intended use that the citizens of this state agreed to when approving such a tax. This is a case of tricky people being dishonest. We chose this district despite knowing that most major employers of the past, including GM, had pulled out, and that this district was okay for now but might face difficulties in the future. We believed in this area. I'd hope that there are honest, decent people in the legislature who can see how unfair and tricky this school funding formula is. If we want to teach children to be responsible citizens, start with those who would be leaders.
