As a child my mother would drive all three of us 25 minutes to the Ephrata Library because of its collections and safe spaces to read and play. Today, the library is so much more to me as it is a rock in the community in which I work (the Ephrata borough). There's community cohesion and opportunity because of the Library. The service area boroughs (& their constituents) should not question the $5/capita rate when they look at the quality of professional standards, programs, and collections the EPL maintains and plans for our community's future.

The Ephrata Public Library is a big part of our community; an important resource for our families.
Our municipal leaders need to stand up for their constituents and fund the library adequately.

As a resident of Ephrata Borough I have used and intend my child to use the resources provided by Ephrata PUBLIC Library. I have and will continue to support in any financial way possible but not all residents are able. It is the responsibility of our leaders to ensure that our residents (and surround!) Get to benefit and grow from the resources aswell. This is a place that the unemployed go to fill out job applications, school children go to study and toddlers have their first introduction to learning how to read. Please thoughtfully and prayerfully consider doing your part with our resident paid taxes!

The Ephrata Borough does not fund the Christmas lights for downtown Ephrata. The Ephrata Merchants Association hosts fundraisers through out the year in order to pay for the downtown decorations. It is the residents of Ephrata that donate towards that.

My family moved to this community two years ago. One of the amenities of Ephrata that caught our eye was your beautiful library. We are homeschoolers and small business owners and cannot contemplate a community that doesn't support its library. This is a basic service that communities should provide for its citizens. Please- fund the library!

I do not live in one of the munincipalities served by the Ephrata Library, but it is the library that I use most often. The tiny branch library near me is fine for picking up requested books, but for browsing my kids ALWAYS ask to go to Ephrata, and so we go there as our main library, as do other families that live near me. If the library is not funded, it will affect so many more people than you realize. Please fund this incredible resource appropriately.

If the state requires $5.00 per capita, that is the minimum Ephrata Burough (and all the communities served by the library) should be contributing. Libraries serve as much more than just a place to borrow books, though in the age of electronics, having access to free, real books is essential to provide to children. The library provides a place to do and help with homework (not everyone has wifi and computers at home). The library provides programs for young children, families, teenagers, and adults. It serves every population of the community. If something impacts every segment of the community, you'd think importance would be placed on that.

As an Akron Borough resident, I want $5 of my annual tax money to be allocated to the Library. A donation of $12,500 from the Borough is not enough, and puts additional burden on the library to raise even more money just to meet minimum standards. Please fund my home library!!
