I visit Capisic Pond and Park many times a year. The Pond is a treasure of Portland. My enjoyment of Capisic Pond goes back to the 1040s and 1950s when the Pond was wide open water and not in danger of becoming a swamp. Please restore the Pond.

I visit Capisic Pond and Park many times a year. The Pond is a treasure of Portland. My enjoyment of the Pond reaches back to the 1940s and 1950s when I lived at the Pond. Then the Pond was open and not on the verge of becoming a swamp. Please go forward with this project so more generations may enjoy the Pond as I did.

This is an extremely worthwhile project that benefits all City residents. Any further delays in the completion of the project will likely. Spell the death of Capisic Pond.

I strongly encourage the City Council to fund the Capisic Pond Enhancement Project. The Pond is a valuable community asset, appreciated by many residents, and in all likelihood, poised to be lost in the near future without pro-active intervention. Citizens and City staff have put consideratble time, energy and funding into developing a solution. City budgets are always tight; delaying for another year or more won't re-establish the recreational and ecological values of Capisic Pond.
