We are so far pst the point of waiting. Our schools cannot afford your indecisiveness. Fund the schools. Pass the construction bond.

I’m a resident of whispering pines and have been for almost 6 years. I called the Moore County board of education 5 years ago to voice my concerns regarding overcrowding of Sandhills farm life. The response I received was there is a group in Raleigh that is responsible for planning and growth and they have nothing to do with it. That was unacceptable then and look at the mess our education system is in now. Just remember that these children are our nations future, why shouldn’t this be a top priority?? Get this done and move forward now!!!

Please approve the funding for the new facility. My kindergartener comes home every day and tells me his classroom is too loud and crowded to learn. If a five year old can see the need, I hope our commissioners can, too.

The commissioners need to do the job they were voted it to do. Punting this issue to their voter base will not absolve them of intentionally letting our schools fail. If they can’t do their job, maybe people who can will step up and challenge them in the next election.

As a spouse of a service member with 25+ years of service I have seen this trend of not fully funding public schools, and over crowding of schools in other Military heavy communities. I’ve watched as the “communities to live in” became nothing more than crime ridden money pits, where friends couldn’t give their house away. Neighborhoods that had once been full of proud homeowners are replaced by transient renters who just don’t care. Property values plummet, crime skyrockets. Active duty spouses network heavily before moves. We trust our sisters, their recommendations, along with their cautionary tales. Moore County will become just another Cumberland County home of our Fort Bragg, or insert the County of Fort Hood TX, Fort Hauchuca Az, Schofield Barracks HI, Fort Gordon Ga, I can go on if needed. My husband and I choose this wonderful community to call home over 5 years ago. When my husband’s career send him to the Washington DC area we decided to have the children and myself stay in our home. In our safe community, In our exceptional public schools. I’m watching in alarm as the mistakes of our past communities are now being repeated here in Moore County. Only you, our local elected officials can turn our course. Not every resident can be satisfied in the County. No one likes the idea of a tax increase, or additional County debit. We must fund new schools. Perhaps it’s now time to conduct an audit of all county offices. This would insure that the schools and others, are being good stewards of the taxpayers money. Please, for the future of our communities vote yes to funding construction of desperately needed schools. Only you can keep Moore County as the place to live. Thank you.

As a parent and a teacher at SFL, I can tell you. Our children NEED another school. Our campus NEEDS relief. It’s not even a question. Please support us, commissioners.

It has been far too long since our county has invested in our public schools. The time is now. Overcrowded and unsafe schools does not promote a premier community to live, work, and raise a family. Fulfill the Mission of your office. Issue limited obligation bonds to fund school construction now.
