The state has officially committed to addressing the funding gap for our schools. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who added their name to this effort to secure the resources our students deserve. We will continue to observe the implementation phase to ensure these funds reach our classrooms as promised.

Erie's Public Schools is underfunded by the Commonwealth of PA by $37 million each year. We cannot allow more budget cuts that will affect our 12,000 students. To abandon our high schools is a travisty. We need to find better solutions for our schools , how we tax our citizens and become ore involved in the process. We do not need more non-profits buying up property and taking it off the tax rolls.
I am a PROUD product of ESD. If it were not for caring teachers, a sound education and after school activities and sports, I would not be where I am today. Although I no longer live in Erie, it troubles me deeply to learn of the state's inequity with respect to educational funding.
Our students deserve more, the teachers cannot provide the best quality education if our buildings are falling apart and we lack the proper technology to assist them. I would like to keep my job to support my own children as well.
I am a sophomore at collegiate academy and it kills me to know that there is a possibility I won't be able to graduate from a school I worked so hard to get into and so hard to stay in. Please help us save our schools
As an ESD educator, I am amazed at what our kids are able to accomplish despite the lack of resources for them. Can you imagine what they could do if they had resources equal to their peers? Our kids deserve fair funding!

Just like I tell my students in class… Fair doesn't mean that everyone gets the same thing… Fair means that everybody gets what they need to be successful . Right now the EPS does not have enough significant funds in order to be successful . Our students deserve better .
