As a community we stand firm for Human Rights, demanding that the City continue programs in our neighborhood and our hub at Community Centers, Inc. South Los Angeles is deemed as the most economically challenged region with the least resources, We understand there are initiatives to place the resources allocated for this specific community in other entities that are not easily accessible for us where transportation, intimidation, disenfranchisement all become the continuing tone of the day for South Los Angeles community. Our tax dollars, our vote and our demand should be considered in the services we receive including workforce development. Community Centers, Inc. provides us with many resources through easy access, friendly faces , and patient and understanding of our specific needs and true ability to address them. We are signing this petition as voters, as constitutes, as residents, as the people that utilize this center to it's fullest. The decisions from these initiatives to relocate services to other communities will be our driving force to vote in the next election. Politics should NOT interfere with our ability to survive. Please refer to the WIA grant proposal diverting funds away from our neighborhood, our hub, from this center.
