Continue Funding ActonTV & Community Media

I can’t make the meeting... which is the exact reason why we need ActonTV to continue!

With newspapers dying, ActonTV has been a wonderful communication link for our community. Democracy needs to know what is going on!

This program should be expanded.

This is a critical resource for the community, especially those who cannot afford childcare, take time off work, or secure transportation to attend meetings in person. Please support Acton TV.

The loss of Acton's local access television would be a serious threat to the already precarious goal of open government at the local level. Transparency, engagement and accountability of the Acton Town government and its regional school district (Acton-Boxborough) are all very dependent on the continued and consistent functioning of Acton TV.

Acton TV on-demand allows me to stay current on issues affecting the Town. I can tune into board meetings I’ve missed or would’ve attended but can’t due to work or other conflicts. Losing this important resource would be a huge loss for this community.

Acton TV is a vital communication vehicle for our school district to communicate with our community about matters ranging from governance to items of interest happening in our schools. The service and support that Acton TV has provided to our district has been superior. Not only has Acton TV provided broadcast services for our schools and school committee to communicate with our stakeholders, but they provide valuable hand-on learning experiences to our students. I strongly urge your continued support of this import organization.

Acton TV is vital to our community. Many thanks ripple need it to view meetings and get information.

ActonTV on demand viewing of Town Meeting as well as the meetings of various boards and committees plays a critical role in maintaining an informed citizenry. I strongly support ActonTVs government information mission as well as its role in promoting a wide range of community activity.

The hands on opportunities for youth at Acton TV have been wonderful for our son. He is passionate about this place and what it offers and as a middle school student, already wants to pursue a career in this field.

ActonTV is essential in getting information out into the community. I plan to be at the meeting on Aug 19th.

Acton TV is a very important public asset of our community. I hope we all support the hard work and value it brings to us.

Please tell Verizon and Comcast that I find that Acton TV enriches community life here in Acton. If they don't continue to support it, I will consider moving my business away from those companies. Thanks for your good work, Marc, Rick, Pat, (George), and all the hardworking board members.
