With 2 parents working full time barely making it. I don’t have the time or resources to teach my kids from home. And their home schooling hours would be from 8-11 pm. No child deserves that schedule.

Kids need to be in school full time. Taking away their social interactions and learning experiences is far more dangerous to their lives and mental health than this virus is to their physical health. Listen to the pediatric experts!

Davis School District Can you imagine all those kids who are going to different babysitters and daycares every other day and the exposures they will face? People have to work and the kids have to go somewhere. Some may have to rotate between many babysitters with many different kids. The exposure alone is far greater than the kids going to school 5 days a week and it is going to be a contact tracing nightmare. Hundreds of kids, hundreds of different exposures from daycares, family babysitters, friend babysitters, those sitters have kids. I fear this is not a good plan at all for exposures.

These kids desperately need full time school. Kids are not the problem in the spread of COVID.

I agree! My senior and my little 5th grader alike were in tears over the letter.

I feel like this decision goes against every science-based study and expert recommendation made. It’s time we think of the kids. There are already options for those not quite ready to join the school scene. What about an option for those of us who know the risks but don’t have the fear?

We need to open up the schools. Children need to be in school. They have proven that kids are not at risk and either are the teachers...

At the very least have them come every day for core subjects and come home at lunch time.
