This professor defines student centered focus. His classes are built upon exposing adults to their own history. He has created partnerships with other academic gurus focusing on maintaining African history and making sure Americans see and feel the relevance to all American history. I am alarmed by this petition and an completely outraged by this circumstance. I am unsure of why this is taking place but I find rest in knowing that nothing is done by accident. God will have the final say.

I've never had him as a professor, I took the class online, but I've spoken with him and he's awesome!

I never had him as a professor but I have saw and spoke to him while in the library. He has an amazing spirit and it saddens me to know that BCU a historically Black University and the unprofessional professors are being ignorant.

These actions beckon the question, "what happens when all the Black professors, whom students relate to and trust, are rail-roaded from our Black Colleges and Universities? As an alum who had almost ALL Black instructors (from physical science to humanities), it is sickening. If the students say nothing..it'll continue.

Mr. Raphael Jackson has made a major impact on my life. He was my history teacher in 8th grade in New York City. Now he currently stands as my daughters history professor and mentor and Bethune-Cookman University. I've been informed by students on campus that Mr. Jackson is a great professor, role model, and an active father figure to most. Mr. Jackson is a wonder a man and does not deserve his current treatment. He is a professional that can interact and relate to students therefore he is a keeper. I agreed to sign this petition in favor of Mr. Jackson to continue his services at Cookman. I believe Mr. Jackson is heaven sent to the students and I'm asking the Lord to help Mr. Jackson continue his employment at this institution. Not only for the faculty but for the students as well. With that being said I encourage each and every wildcat to sign this petition in favor of Mr. Jackson. Thank You in advance from his former New York City student.

As a parent I often worried about my child being away at school and so far away South Carolina). Mr. Jackson was a name that was always mentioned in my home during every school break. i would call my son everyday and he would always quote something to me that Mr. Jackson had said to him. I pray that this man of God remains at Bethune Cookman University for the sake of the students

Two years after graduating Mr. Jackson STILL finds time to serve as a mentor to me. I didn't even know I liked learning until I took his class. He offered his office as my campaign headquarters. He encouraged me to know my history and he was there when my mother passed away. Lets not rid our campus of anymore GEMS.

Mr. Jackson is most dependable, loving, and caring professor on the campus of Bethune-Cookman as a sophomore at Bethune-Cookman during 2000-2010 Mr. Jackson opened my eyes to show me that there is a lot more to life and that you can go get it by putting God first, and keeping positive people in your life. Please keep Mr. Jackson on the campus of The Great Bethune Cookman University. Thank You and God Bless
