I never had the privilege of having Mr. Jackson as my professor but he served as the advisor of the Caribbean Students Association during my term as president of the club. He is an amazing educator with nothing but a wealth of knowledge to pass on. Great man!!!!

The awkward thing is I have never had him as a teacher but I passed him daily in the hallway. He was inviting, smart, warm, & encouraged intellectual interactions even when I didn't seem interested. As the days went by I looked forward to chatting with him. More educators could actually learn from him. His genuine personality and nurturing spirit was infectious & you wanted to experience it.

Mr. Jackson is a great professor, if nothing else as a History teacher, he helped me embrace my African American roots and has always been a kind soul. I graduated from Bethune in 2010, saw him at the recent Spring 2014 graduation and we spoke. while Dr. Jackson is a nontraditional educator he is very much needed in the culture at Bethune.

A father figure who gets you to believe in yourself, and that you can be someone.
One of the reasons of attending an HBCU is to have reputable, intelligent, Black, figureheads to guide abs lead students. Please don't let your error in judgement be the reason students begin withdrawing from this institution. There are many others to choose from that appreciate positive, black, educated men. I would prefer my tuition dollars to go to an institution that values our endangered society by cultivating young black youth, especially males.

A well educated teacher who put his students first and supports his students past graduation. His class was one of my favorite from my 4 years at Bethune-Cookman.
