The preschool program is very beneficial academically and socially for both students with special needs and regular education peer mentors.

Preschool programs support the development of the whole child. When experiencing the program children develop language, social, phonological and problem solving skills. Above all students gain confidence and build a strong educational foundation!

Full day preschool for the 3 and 4 year olds would be a huge benefit for the kids and community both. Being that this is a special ed preschool, this would enhance the quality of care and schooling this children receive. Many of the special need students are pulled from classroom time to receive other services, depleating the amount of free time for socializing that is so important at those ages. I hope this community can come together and show their support for this worth cause. The kids deserve it.

It's very good as a preparation for kindergarten or for the children that fall short of entrance timeline or special needs and for working parents a safe educational environment is very important at this age.

I am completely for fun day preschool programs. I also very much support before and after school care. This is a huge asset to the children and working families.

This is very important for the children of Durham. We moved to this community for the school system and hope that full day pre school is part of the new curriculum. The children who go to full day preschool are much more prepared for kindergarten. Janis Courter, Ed.M.
