I am writing this petition to request that their be a full day of kindergarten for Edison township school district. I like many other parents in my neighborhood have expressed that our children need a full day of learning. The children are either only in school during the am or pm class. Each session is only 2 and a half hours long. Not only do we feel that the children are not getting enough classroom time but also it is hard for many working families to either pick up or take their children to school during these hours. Many of our children have went from a full day of daycare learning to a minimal amount of learningdue tothe half day kindergarten sessions.These are the most precious times for a child's learning and development butI feel as though we are neglecting them of the importance of a full day or learning.
