Looking to move up to the North Hills. Hampton is our first choice, but unfortunately if they do not offer full day kindergarten then we will have to move else where.

Having moved from a district with full-day kindergarten to one with half day we're already seeing the difference in what our child is getting out of school. A full day program is the way to go for most families and children. Please help make this happen for our kids' education!

Thank you for bringing this to light! The logistics of sending my daughter to a 1/2 day kindergarten continue to be stressful in our two income household.

Thanks for doing this, having an opportunity for play based learning and full day option would be great. We wanted to send our oldest to Hampton but couldn’t due to our work schedules and found that the private school we sent her to did not adequately prepare her for first grade at Hampton. Being able to have our kids attend Hampton schools from the start would be better for the kids all around.

Would love to see a full day option become available for those of us who really need it! (And am not opposed to keeping the half day program as an option as well, for those families that don't need or want a full day option.)

My son thrived in full day kindergarten before we moved to PA, and I hope might daughter gets the same opportunity. If most parents ALREADY have their kids doing some sort of full-day care due to jobs, etc., why not adjust to the community's needs? Parents that don't want their kids full time and have the ability to pick them up and take them home should enjoy that option as well-- I don't see why we can't strive to meet the individual needs of families.

Didn't use Hampton schools until first grade because of it. I sent my kids to private. It's ridiculous that a school district that is so progressive is so far behind on kindergarten education.

This has been a huge stressor for me over the years. I am tired of being stressed. I think that a change is needed to improve the quality of life for our children and our families. Hampton Township is a wonderful district but our kindergarten children are not being offered everything that Hampton offers the grades 1+. We are a highly rated district, but the kindergarten programs in other schools and districts are much more welcoming to change than our district.

No district as good as Hampton should not have full-day kindergarten.

I would have loved to have had this option instead of paying to send my child somewhere else with a full day program. Seeing the more relaxed structure of a full day program that allows so much time for play based learning and peer interaction, I believe there is major value and opportunity for much more growth with a full day option.

I can vouch that this has affected my family and level of income that we used to get with both parents working. Now only one works and it has affected our quality of life.

My youngest daughter went through kindergarten last year and being a full time parent and no one to pick her from school put us in a very tough situation. I asked and begged several friends and neighbors. I even begged at the move up day at school to see if another parent could help. I finally stumbled upon someone with a good heart who could help 4 days. I still had 1 day left in the week which was eventually helped by another kindergarten parent. We could have put her in private school as I did with my older one with the risk of her not having any friends in 1st grade. With the amount of taxes we pay, this should be a no brainier. I'm not forcing the district to change to all day but they should at least provide a transportation option for working parents so no one has to go through a year long ordeal of constant worry. I got lucky but many don't and take their children else where.
